The manual way (and why it hurts)

In traditional software like After Effects, animating a static image requires a painful dance of keyframes and spatial interpolation. First, the editor must ensure the image is scaled significantly above 100% resolution to allow room for movement without revealing the black void of the canvas edges. They then drop a position and scale keyframe at the start of the clip, scrub the playhead to the end of the clip, and drag the image to its final destination, creating a second set of keyframes.

However, linear keyframes result in robotic, jarring motion that abruptly starts and stops. To fix this, the editor must open the graph editor, select the keyframes, and convert them to Bezier curves to create an 'Easy Ease' motion.
