What it does
Speed in Vidmoat is keyframeable: ramp from 0.3x slow motion into a 3x whip on a single clip, with the timing recalculated for you. Reverse, freeze frames and constant speed changes are one command each.
For a product reveal, start at normal speed, slow down as the product comes into view, then accelerate into the next shot. A ramp changes speed within a clip; a constant speed change affects the whole clip equally.
Use footage shot at a higher frame rate for smoother slow motion. Slowing a low-frame-rate clip repeats its frames; it does not create new ones. Exported audio keeps its pitch.
How to use it
- Select a clip and open Playback Speed in the inspector’s A/V tab.
- Add speed keyframes where the ramp should start and end.
- Preview the timing and sound, then export.

Questions about Speed Ramping
Will slow motion look smooth?
It depends on the footage. High-frame-rate clips slow down smoothly; slowing 30 fps footage repeats frames.
Does the audio sound chipmunk-like?
No. Exported audio keeps its pitch when the speed changes.
What is the speed range?
From 0.05x to 10x.
