What it does
Select the shaky clip and press Stabilize footage in the inspector. Vidmoat processes it on the server with two-pass motion analysis, so you do not need a desktop plugin. Clips can be up to ten minutes long per pass.
The stabilized file swaps onto your clip and the original stays in your media library if you want it back.
Smoothing camera movement crops or zooms the picture, so check straight edges and anything near the frame edge. Stabilization reduces shake; it cannot recover detail lost to motion blur, and severe shake or a fast pan may still look uneven.
How to use it
- Upload your video and select the shaky clip on the timeline.
- Press Stabilize footage in the A/V tab and wait for the processed version.
- Play the result and check the edges. Continue editing, or undo for the original.

Will stabilizing crop my video?
A little. Smoothing the camera path needs a slight zoom, so leave room around anything important at the edges.

Yes. Undo, or use the original, which stays in your media library.
