How to do it in Vidmoat
- Create a free Vidmoat account and upload your footage, or let Claude import it for you.
- Add Vidmoat to Claude as a remote MCP server using https://api.vidmoat.com/api/mcp, then sign in to Vidmoat and approve the connection.
- Ask for the edit in plain words, for example: "cut the dead air, add bold captions and make a 9:16 version".
- Ask it to render a preview frame and check its own work before it renders the whole video.
- Open the project in the Vidmoat editor whenever you want to take over by hand, then export.
Pricing
Vidmoat Hobby is free: 3 projects, 720p exports with a small watermark and 40 AI credits a month. Creator is $19 a month, or $15 a month billed yearly, with 2160p (4K) exports, no watermark and 1,500 AI credits a month. Studio is $49 a month, or $39 a month billed yearly, with 6,000 AI credits a month, AI video generation and personal API keys.

What Vidmoat does not do
- Through MCP, Claude reads Vidmoat's transcripts and rendered frames, not your raw footage.
- Talking photos and lip sync are not generally available to Vidmoat accounts today.

Is it free to connect Claude to Vidmoat?
Connecting works on every Vidmoat plan, including free Hobby. Each tool costs what the same action costs in the editor, for example 5 credits for the first step of an agent run and 3 for each step after it. Anthropic says Claude Free accounts can add one custom connector.[9]
Do community MCP connectors for CapCut or Premiere work?
Independent projects that drive an app not designed to be driven tend to break when the app changes. A first-party server is maintained by the people who control what it calls.
