What it does
Vidmoat analyses your music track’s energy and finds the onsets, the moments that make a montage feel intentional. Each beat becomes a timeline marker, and one command cuts your footage exactly on them.
Markers snap every drag and trim, so you can also place cuts by hand and know they land on the music. Detection runs in your browser and costs no credits.
How to use it
- Add your music track and footage to the timeline.
- Select the music and press Detect beats in the inspector’s A/V tab. Beats appear as markers.
- Select a clip and press Cut clip at markers.

Does it work with any song?
It works with any audio you add to the project. Detection reads the waveform, so music with clear hits gives the cleanest grid.
Can I adjust the cuts after?
Yes. Cuts are ordinary edits, and markers keep snapping as you trim.
Does it cost credits?
No. Beat detection runs in your browser.
